Radioactivity Of Natural Stone
Fág nóta
The radioactivity level of natural stone can be divided into three categories: A, B and C.
Class A products can be used in office buildings and family rooms. Class B products have higher radioactivity than Class A products, and can not be used for interior decoration of rooms, but can be used for interior and exterior decoration of buildings; Class C products have higher radioactivity, and can only be used for the exterior finish of buildings.
Among the natural stones, the radioactivity belongs to Class A, including cherry blossom red, general red, Taiwan red, Xinjiang red, Shidao red, Anxi red, maple leaf red, Xilihong, Tianshan white hemp, Tianshan red, Xiamen red, etc; Category B includes Indian Red and Guilin Red; Yongding Red is the commodity of Category C, while the level of rhododendron in some places is higher than the standard of Category C.
It has been said that the level of radioactivity can be distinguished by the color of stone. In fact, according to the test of relevant national departments, the color cannot be used as the basis for judging its radioactivity. For example, the radioactivity of red stone varies from high to low. Rhododendron red, South African red, Indian red, etc. are relatively high. Some are Class B and C, while a large number of red stones, such as Anxi red and Maple leaf red, are Class A products. In short, the radioactivity of stone materials should be subject to the data detected by relevant units.
